On this page you can find a variety of resources that have been produced by the project. These include teaching and lesson plans, and a series of animations on our project themes for use in training and educational presentations. These animations were made in association with the media company We Are Cognitive
Animation: Aig an Sgoli le Amari: A Story About Gaelic Education and Belonging
This animation about inclusion and Gaelic language education in contemporary Scotland was made by Stuart Dunmore (University of Edinburgh) and Tim Armstrong (University of the Highlands and Islands).

Animation: How Oracy Made British Democracy
This animation explores the role that oracy education has played in the history of progressive political movements in Britain. It focuses on how the Chartists, a mid-Victorian working-class movement for democratic reform, and the women’s movement of the early c20th,
It is based on the research of Tom F. Wright (University of Sussex), which you can read in the book Oracy: The Politics of Speech Education (2025), in his chapter ‘What the Chartists and Suffragettes Realised About Oracy’ on our blog page here.
Animation: Let’s Rewrite the Conversation on Police Stops
This animation explores the role of oracy in helping the police and young minoritised youth develop more effective interactions.
It was created and devised by Leeds-based activist Chijioke John Ojukwu, in association with Stephen Coleman (University of Leeds).
